This past weekend between 8-10th of May our team participated at Startup Weekend Skopje!
Startup Weekend Skopje is 54-hour global event, where developers, managers, students, marketing experts and young and aspiring entrepreneurs come together to share ideas, form teams, build products and launch startups.
This was the fourth edition of Startup Weekend Skopje, and we are proud that three of our team members Eva, Teddy and Vlatko were part of the lead organization of this event for the second time.
Despite that, this year our team member Alex was part of the mentors that help the young macedonian entrepreneurs build their ideas into successful products.
We also got involved into Startup Weekend Skopje as a partner providing free licences of our new product Black – that will help the developers integrate communication into their mobile apps.
The weekend started on Friday when 20 ideas that were pitched, and 11 teams were formed to continue working on their final products. Saturday was reserved for mentoring sessions and working process and the final presentations in front of the judges were presented on Sunday evening.
From the overall responses we know that Startup Weekend Skopje again managed to show that Macedonia has quality ideas for startups and of course young people that are ready to dive into this world and make something innovative and successful.
The winning teams were BruchBox (first place), NowPark.me (second place) and Dary (third place). The team Doktorot won a special prize – place into the program of the brand new startup accelerator in Macedonia – Darma Accelerator.
